The Thomas Family’s Statement of Faith

We believe that there is one true and existing living God; eternally existing in three persons:  The Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  (Matt. 28:19,  2 Cor. 13-14)

We believe that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant and infallible word of God. (2 Tim. 3:16, 2 Peter 1: 20-21)

As a result of the fall of man,  all men are born with a  fallen nature and are incapable of choosing or doing that which is acceptable to God, apart from  Divine Grace; because of this, man is hopelessly lost and must be restored to fellowship with God or be eternally lost.  Man’s salvation is thereby wholly of God’s grace through the redemptive work of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Gen. 2:16-17, John 3:36, Rom. 3:23, Rom. 5:12, Rom. 6:23)

We believe that in order for man to have restored fellowship to God, he is in need of a Divine Savior.  Jesus Christ made full atonement for all mankind by the shedding of His own blood and His death on the cross; therefore, salvation is by the grace of God through the redemptive work of His Son and not on the basis of human merit or works.  (John 1:12, Rom. 5:11, Eph. 1: 4-7, 1 Peter 1:18-19, Eph. 2:8-9)

We believe that whoever repents, believes on the Name of Jesus Christ and receives Him into their heart and life is regenerated, justified, sanctified and eternally saved from the penalty of sin and are kept secure in Christ forever. (John 3:16, Rom. 10:9-13, John 5:24, John 6: 37-40, John 10:27-30, Rom. 8:31-39)

We believe Jesus was crucified, rose from the grave and ascended to the Father and that He is coming back soon for those who have been redeemed by His precious blood, at a time known only to the Father.  (Acts 1:9-11,   1Thes. 4:16-17)
